Fun Times with the Nanny

We have a really great nanny, Andrea, that watches the babies Mon-Thurs. We couldn't be happier!

Her 12 yr-old daughter Morgan has been coming with her this summer and has decided to homeschool this year so she'll be doing that by DVD at our house and then play with the babies!
They made this footprint canvas of the babies feet! LOVE IT!!
Tummy time
Tummy time AND story time!
They LOVE reading!

Having a picnic outside with the nanny.  Cooper is so cool in his shades - he can't be bothered to look at the camera (I think the bib takes down the cool factor a notch Cooper!).

Posers

We've noticed a very distinct pattern to pictures of the two babies together. Brinley is pretty much always smiling and/or looking directly at the camera. Cooper, who used to be our big smiler, now never smiles at the camera or looks at it.  And he usually looks super confused as to what's going on. Brinley has already figured out selfies and seems to just "get" what she's supposed to do for pictures. I guess that's the difference between boys and girls! We're already getting ready for a lifetime of Cooper and Brandon complaining about every family picture we take!!!

Some examples....

Missouri State Fair

Brandon's dad's birthday always falls during the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, so we always go for his birthday. This year, we had the babies with us! They were amazing, never made a peep (except Cooper during this circus show that was a little loud and he was really tired so him and I took a nap outside during the show, but Brinley LOVED the circus acts and watched the whole thing!).  They napped in their stroller great throughout the day and loved walking around checking out all the exhibits/shows.  And the weather was great!

It took a sec for them to get used to the sunglasses but then they loved them.

I got a new carrier, a sling one (sevenslings.com). Cooper loved sitting in it and walked around with Aunt Kala for a long time, just chewing on his hand.
Getting ready to watch the circus
Eating dinner before the circus
Playing at the Scheidt grandparents house before the fair

Cooper and Brandon enjoying the Missouri Idol competition (like American Idol haha)

Exersaucers

We got out the exersaucers last night. They're still slightly small for them (we stuff a blanket in the seat to keep them more upright), and they need about another inch before their feet touch the bottoms and they can really bounce, but they really like standing and seeing everything and are interested in the toys on them, even if they can't quite reach them yet.

With these in our basement family room, it officially looks like we have a daycare in our house! It's getting hard to walk around all the baby (and dog) gear!

Brinley's "travel" outfit, to go to her grandparents haha. I wasn't sure when else she'd get to wear her pink tutu before she outgrew it, so we just went with it!

Sibling Snuggles

Brinley

Brinley is still trying to determine if she loves the new stroller.  She is either trying to break out of the straps or actually really likes holding/pulling on them.

Brinley loves her brother. Always happy to lay by him and snuggle.

Brinley loves smiling. She's the happiest baby and always loves to see people and be talked to, and she will reward you with the biggest smiles!

Cooper

Cooper loves holding on to the rings on his play mat.

Cooper loves riding in our new stroller (Baby Jogger City Select, amazing double stroller if anybody needs one!).

Cooper's hemangioma on his belly. It's getting a little bigger.

Cooper loves to be talked to/tickled while getting his diaper changed.

Cooper loves being outside.  Though this cuteness lasted all of this picture then he got mad about the sunglasses. I guess we should have been putting those on them earlier because he flipped out when I put them on. I think he got scared at how different it looked with them on.
