Pacifiers

We got rid of the pacifiers last week. Another "milestone" down!  It was surprisingly uneventful. They really weren't that attached to them I guess; they would go to bed with one but when it fell out, they didn't care. Lately though, Brinley had been using one more and more just during the day so that's what made us decide to just stop altogether before it became a big problem.  She had figured out where we kept the extra ones in their room and was starting to get them out of the basket herself!




On the day we quit them, they did not enjoy going down for their naps at all.   A lot more crying than usual, I guess the pacifiers were soothing them a little for bedtime. So after two hard naps that first day, I later found Brinley in her room like this. I hadn't gotten the extra pacis out of their basket yet, and so she'd gone in there and gotten herself one, plus another one for later I guess :) and was curled up on the floor on her favorite blanket!
