Ty

We sadly had to say goodbye to our beloved Ty this week. He's had numerous health issues in the past few months, and it just got to be too much for him.  He was around 9 years old; Brandon had him since he was a puppy. He's been the most amazing dog, and we are so sad he's gone. He was so good with the babies and let them play and crawl all over him, and we never felt it was ever unsafe for them. He loved his babies.  He also loved his little buddy Miles. We got Miles as an 8 week old puppy, and Ty was around 5. He immediately took such good care of Miles and showed him how to be a good dog (for the most part :).  We miss you so much Ty.

Ty at my "Take your Dog to Work Day". He LOVED being there and just sat in my cube with me while I worked.

This is how Ty and Miles almost always sat together - with Miles on Ty's back.

Ty was also so good to our two cats.

Ty has never been allowed on furniture/beds so...funny that I found all these pictures of Ty on our beds!

This was their nightly routine, after they got their treats before bed. Miles would sit in front of Ty, real close, and Ty would lick and clean Miles' ears/head.

Its amazing how many pics we have of the babies where Ty is just in the background chilling. He always had to be close to the babies.

Cooper thought he was soo funny this day, using Ty as a chair :)  Ty didn't mind at all of course.

All you had to say was "give Ty loves" and the babies laid their head down on him, their version of a hug.
