Baths and Diapers

Both gained another ounce. Brinley went back up a few mL in feedings since her belly is doing so much better, and now Cooper is also getting extra fortification in his feedings added to the breastmilk. This is another good sign that he is progressing great, that he can handle these extra vitamins they are adding to the breastmilk (breastmilk is lacking in iron and some other vitamins that preemie babies really need). This will just help him really pack on the pounds. Brinley is of course a little behind on these types of developments now with her stomach issue a couple days ago but she will get caught up soon!

Cooper sleeping hard
Friday night we got a call from the nurse on duty that she was giving them baths so about 11pm I went up to the hospital to help out. Cooper didn't end up getting his then because his temperature was too low, but Brinley did, and she was so cute during it. She never made a peep and was just so happy and content. The nurse said Brinley was one of the most laid back babies she's ever seen. We've had several nurses say that about both babies actually, especially Brinley.

Brandon and I are really getting good at participating more with the babies' care ourselves, since they are getting bigger and doing so much better. Before every feeding (that we're there for) we will take their temperature and change their diapers, and then I've asked to be there for their baths (they're bathed every 3 days).  We haven't even gotten peed on once yet!
