Brinley's Turn

It was Brinley's turn today to put on a fashion show - she's now off the heat and is regulating her own temperature now too so she gets to wear clothes. The nurse put her in this little sleeper (the NICU gets clothes either made or donated to them) today. So precious.

We spent Sunday afternoon with the babies. It was the longest we'd spent all together and was so nice and relaxing. We're getting more comfortable with them as they get bigger and have less wires and limitations.  They are such good babies and just slept the whole time.  They both, especially Brinley, started to get fussy around their feeding time (they get fed at 11, 2,5, and 8) which the nurse said is another sign of growth for them that they are recognizing their hunger and speaking up about it.  We've had several people tell us that one "benefit" of having babies in the NICU was that they get extremely scheduled because that's how the NICU operates - they eat every 3 hours pretty much on the dot regardless of what else happens - and that that will continue when they come home, which will be so helpful with two.

Some pics from our afternoon together as a foursome -
