Together Again (part 2)

When Brandon got off from work, we headed back to the NICU. He did skin to skin with them tonight, and then I did again.

As soon as we put Brinley down on my chest, she reached for Cooper. And she didn't take her eyes off of him almost the entire time. She always tends to be more bright-eyed than him, watching what's going on around her. he just likes to sleep!  and every time we move them around to hold them, Cooper throws the biggest fit and cries until he's settled back into a sleeping spot. The nurses call him a grump! he's fine once we get him held or back in his bed, but he hates the transition time. Brinley on the other hand never makes a peep when you move her around and is always just watching what's going on. she's super laid back it seems!

Between all of the machines and lights plus blankets to cover the babies to keep their temperatures up and being in a recliner, the NICU room gets really hot when you're holding them. It has made both of us fall asleep holding them!

                                                 Brinley did the same thing when she got put down on Brandon - instantly reached out for her brother and watched him the entire time.

 

Cooper apparently got unhappy with something during the nap :)
